VIKEFON HDMI Audio Extractor – 4K 30Hz with Optical SPDIF & 3.5mm Stereo

Unlock full audio from any HDMI source with the VIKEFON 4K HDMI Audio Extractor. This sleek black metal device separates audio signals from your HDMI video feed, delivering them simultaneously via optical S/PDIF digital output and a 3.5mm stereo analog jack — giving you the flexibility to connect soundbars, stereo speakers, AV amplifiers, or headphone DACs with ease.

Compatible with PS4, DVD players, TV boxes, streaming sticks, Blu-ray players, and more, this extractor is fully compliant with HDMI 1.4b and HDCP 1.4 standards. Powered conveniently by USB (cable included), no bulky power adapter is needed.

Made in Mainland China.

Key Features

  • Dual Audio Outputs: Optical S/PDIF (up to 5.1CH surround) and 3.5mm stereo analog — simultaneously usable
  • 4K Video Pass-Through: Supports video resolutions up to 4K @ 30Hz without degrading picture quality
  • Wide Device Compatibility: Works with PS4, DVD players, TV boxes, projectors, monitors, amplifiers, and more
  • HDMI 1.4b & HDCP 1.4 Compliant: Seamless integration with a broad range of AV equipment
  • USB-Powered: USB power cable included; no external power adapter required
  • Durable Metal Housing: Premium black metal chassis for heat dissipation and longevity
  • CE & RoHS Certified: Meets international safety and environmental standards

Important Notes Before You Buy

  • This extractor uses HDMI 1.4b — maximum supported resolution is 4K @ 30Hz.
  • Devices such as PS5, PS4 Pro, and Xbox Series X/S output 4K only when paired with an HDMI 2.0 display and cable. The 4K pass-through option will not be available on these devices in 4K mode.
  • To enjoy 5.1CH surround audio via optical output, your video source must output a 5.1CH audio signal.
  • This unit does NOT support HDMI ARC or eARC. Do not connect the HDMI output to an AV receiver for HDMI audio return.
  • When using the 3.5mm analog audio port, set your HDMI source's audio mode to PCM 2CH — otherwise you may experience no audio or noise.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does this HDMI audio extractor support 4K @ 60Hz?

A: No. This extractor is based on the HDMI 1.4b standard, which supports a maximum video resolution of 4K @ 30Hz. If you need 4K @ 60Hz pass-through, you would require an HDMI 2.0 audio extractor.

Q: Can I use this with my PS5 or Xbox Series X?

A: The extractor is compatible with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, but because those consoles output 4K only via HDMI 2.0, the 4K video pass-through will not be available at 4K resolution. It will still work at 1080p and you can still extract audio at all supported resolutions.

Q: Why is there no sound or just noise from the 3.5mm port?

A: When using the 3.5mm analog audio output, you must set your HDMI source device's audio output mode to PCM 2CH (stereo). Bitstream or surround formats are not supported on the analog output and will result in silence or noise.

Q: Does this support HDMI ARC or eARC?

A: No. This device does not support HDMI ARC or eARC. It is designed to extract audio from an HDMI input signal only; the HDMI output cannot be connected to an AV receiver for audio return channel functionality.

Q: What power source does this HDMI audio extractor need?

A: The unit is USB-powered. A USB power cable is included in the box. A standard USB power adapter (5V) can be used, but one is not included with the product.
