How to Use

  1. Step away from the surface to be tested, power on the device, and set the function switch to Mode 1.
  2. Slowly rotate the rotary switch until the device reaches a silent and lightless (idle) state.
  3. To detect metal: Hold the DETECT bar parallel to and flat against the target surface, then slowly move it across the area.
  4. To detect AC voltage: Switch to Mode 2 and move the DETECT bar left and right across the scanning area.
  5. When the alarm sounds or the LED lights up, you've found a target. Mark the spot before drilling.
  6. When finished, always power off the device to preserve battery life.
