Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What type of butane canister is compatible with this culinary torch?

A: This butane culinary torch is compatible with short nozzle butane canisters that feature a metal snap-joint connection (a metal ring around the top with approximately a 1/2" slit). Standard butane canisters from most major brands with this snap-joint design will work. Note that the butane canister is not included and must be purchased separately.

Q: Can I use this torch upside down or at an angle?

A: Yes! This torch features a 360° reverse-use design, meaning you can operate it in virtually any angle — upright, inverted, or sideways — without affecting flame performance. This makes it ideal for tasks that require reaching underneath or around your food or workpiece.

Q: How do I control the flame size and intensity?

A: The torch is equipped with a built-in gas flow regulator and an air flow control valve that allow you to adjust the flame from a soft, gentle flame all the way up to a powerful spit fire reaching up to 1,300°C / 2,500°F. Simply turn the control dial to increase or decrease intensity, and close the valve switch to extinguish the flame completely.

Q: Is this torch safe to use in a home kitchen?

A: Yes. The torch features a one-touch piezo ignition, an adjustable flame control valve, and a built-in stabilizing plate to keep it securely in place on a flat surface when set down. Always follow standard fire safety practices: keep away from flammable materials, do not leave unattended while lit, and store safely away from children.
