Important Notes Before You Buy

- To receive 5.1CH audio, your video source must output a 5.1CH signal.
- This device does not support HDMI ARC or eARC. Do not connect the HDMI output to an AV receiver for audio return.
- When using the 3.5mm AUX output, set your HDMI video source audio mode to PCM 2CH — otherwise audio may be absent or distorted.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will this HDMI audio extractor work with my PS5 or Xbox Series X at 4K?
A: This extractor supports HDMI 1.4b and a maximum resolution of 4K@30Hz. Devices like PS5, PS4 Pro, and Xbox Series X/S require HDMI 2.0 to output 4K, so 4K pass-through will not be available with those consoles. Standard 1080p video and full audio extraction will still function correctly.
Q: Can I get 5.1 surround sound through the optical output?
A: Yes — you can receive up to 5.1CH digital surround sound via the Optical S/PDIF output, provided your source device (e.g. Blu-ray player, streaming box) is outputting a 5.1CH audio signal. If the source only outputs stereo, the optical output will carry stereo audio.
Q: Why is there no sound when I use the 3.5mm AUX output?
A: When using the 3.5mm AUX audio output, you must set your HDMI video source's audio output mode to PCM 2CH (stereo). If the source is set to Dolby Digital or DTS multichannel, the AUX output will produce no sound or noise. Adjust the audio settings in your device's audio/sound menu.
Q: Does this extractor support HDMI ARC or eARC?
A: No, this device does not support HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) or eARC. It is designed to extract audio from an HDMI input signal only — the HDMI output on this unit carries video (and audio) forward to your display, not back from it.
Q: What powers this device?
A: The extractor is powered via USB using the included USB cable. A USB power adapter is not included — you can power it from a USB port on your TV, a USB wall charger, or any standard 5V USB power source.
